2017 Bolder Boulder: Tanzania's Gabriel Geay edges past United States' Leonard Korir for win in men's pro race

In one of the most thrilling finishes in Bolder Boulder history, Gabriel Geay of Tanzania out-kicked Leonard Korir of the United States at the end to win the men's professional race on Monday.
Geay and Korir entered Folsom Field nearly shoulder to shoulder for the final stretch. After Korir took a brief lead, Geay breezed past him and held the lead to the end.
Competing at the Bolder Boulder for the first time, Geay finished in 29 minutes, 2.19 seconds, just 0.62 ahead of Korir.
Sam Chelanga of the USA was third and, along with Korir, helped the USA Red squad claim the team title in the international pro team challenge. It's the first win for a USA team since 2006.
