CREDIT SCORING TEAM FROM GROUP CREDIT AGRICOLE OF MOROCCO VISITS TADB

Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank (TADB) has received a delegation from Group Credit Agricole of Morocco (GCAM) who will be in country for 11 days mission, from 4th-15th December 2017.

The purpose of this visit is to facilitate TADB to develop Credit Scoring System to be used in scoring small holder’s farmer’s projects as well as implementing the operationalization of the signed MoU that intends to promote productive investments in the agriculture sector and development of agro-industrial value chain in Tanzania and Morocco.

According to the TADB Management, these objectives will be achieved through promotion of financing and support systems, especially for smallholder’s farmers.The delegation from GCAM led by Director of Engineering and Agro business, Mr. Jalal Bouchama, other members include Chief of Agroindustry Department, Mrs. Sanae Benmali, Director of Credit Information System, Mr. Abdessamad Danguir and Ms. Sara Nachid, IT Developer.

TADB and GCAM signed a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in October 2016.TADB becomes first financial institution in Tanzania to get assistance from GCAM, which aim to enhance agricultural activities and to stabilize rural populations by improving their living standards.

Since its creation, Crédit Agricole of Morocco has committed to agriculture and socio-economic development in rural areas by working in co-ordination with the Moroccan government to to support the agricultural and rural development in Morocco.
